Labs operate virtual and physical spaces to test various forms of collaboration between professionals of the built environment and local communities, for enhancing places and frameworks for social resilience. These experimental spaces explicitly deal with decommodified civic practices and gathering spaces (e.g. community gardens, upcycling, craft or repair shops, community economy networks, silver economy, shared spaces, food and produce markets, etc.). They include different academic and non-academic partners and other stakeholders (residents, local initiatives and associations, small businesses etc.). For the labs, we organize workshops and round tables to bring together diverse groups of actors interested in testing the possibilities to connect with other communities/peers in order to exchange knowledge and mutually build civic capacities and ability to adapt, grow, and transform in response to an ever-changing world. Labs are about creatig knowledge together.
